I have officially moved to the Washington/Idaho area called the Palouse! We are moving classes to Saturday afternoon so more people can attend in 2025.

Spring Harvesting April 12th
We will explore the plants of spring coming up in the yard, identification, harvesting, and uses. Violets, dandelions, chickweed…
Medicinal oils and salves* May 10th
We will learn to make herbal infused medicinal oil, their benefits and uses, and make a basic salve to take home.
Learning through play, Kids in the Herbal Garden*
June 14th
This class is for adults, who would like to learn how to grow their Childs interest in the natural world. I will go over some kid friendly plants and practices, so you can confidently guide them to explore the wonder of herbs. Handouts will be given, with recipes, and creative project suggestions. We will explore a few of these tactile experiences together. This is a great way to understand “herbal actions”.
Summer Harvesting July 12th
We will explore the plants of summer, identification, harvesting, and uses. Wild, weedy, and common garden plants like fireweed, cleavers, raspberry and sage , thyme….
Flower Essences August 9th*
We will learn about the powerful and gentle medicine of flower essences. Their history, process, use in healing and make an essence to take home. I will also share the flower essences’ I use often in my practice.
Smudge Sticks, Roots and Resins
August 16th
We will take a deep dive into plants, roots and resins burned for medicinal purposes, and in traditional ceremony.
Food as Medicine: Bone and Immune Support Broths*
September 13th
We will learn about the healing properties of a traditional bone broth, and an herbal immune broth. Samples, handouts, and creative uses will be provided.
Food as Medicine: Ferments: Digestive and Immune Support*
September 27th
We will learn the healing benefits of traditionally fermented foods, make Kimchi, and take a small jar home. Handouts and resourses will be provided.
Fall Harvesting October 18th
We will explore the plants of fall. Identification, harvesting, and uses. Yellow dock, Oregon Grape, Mullein, and many more plants will be discussed.
Cold and Flu Basics November 8
Strategies and helpful tips and tricks for cold and flu season. Common herbs , spices, and vegetables and their uses, easy everyday things to support your friends and family.

Beyond antivirals (pre requisite, Cold and Flu basics)
November 22
A deep dive into the process of the body and supporting the immune system. We will discuss things to keep our immune system strong, with food, tonics, adaptogens, supplements and lifestyle choices. We will also discuss the actions of plants and their specific uses in formulas to support the bodies response to illness. I will go over some of the combinations I use in teas and tinctures, and discuss why each plant is in that specific formula.

My hope is to be out with the plants as much as possible. Dress for the weather, bring water and snacks. Locations will vary upon class and plants.(At this time they are all scheduled at my home in Oakesdale, WA.) These will be easy walks, as I have some physical limitations…Carpooling is encouraged. Be ready to take notes.
Cost is $35 to $50*(for classes that require supplies) each scheduled session, per person.
